“Dragon Ball Super: Broly” was the perfect introduction of the mad saiyan in the canon of Akira Toriyama’s franchise. We saw an action-packed movie with a plot split between the past and the present, which left a great taste in the mouth as an official introduction to the character. However, since then, his presence in the events of the story has been completely non-existent. Fortunately, this changes with “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” and its manga variant.

- On the one hand, I’ve already seen people happy that the Dragon Ball Super: Broly arc has finally received more than a simple illustration to confirm that it ‘happened’. At this point it seems clear that we’ll never get a scan like this from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, but less is less is less. ?
- On the other hand, the summary of the events, both of Broly’s past and how much happened in his movie, is really good. It doesn’t add anything we didn’t really know about the character, but it establishes it without really leaving much of a question mark along the way. ?
- Bonus Track: I don’t know if it happens to anyone else, but Broly is by far the character I have the hardest time coming to terms with his age. If with Goku it already seems impossible for time to pass, the fact that Broly can’t control his power make it hard to remember that he’s already over 40 years old. ?
